Eddie Sanchez and me. Eddie is an excellent VW mechanic that has helped me with the last 3 914-6 projects I've done. He was gracious enough to let me keep my car there for a year as we figured out the logistics of getting the 3.6 liter engine to work, the cooling, the wiring, the new fuel and brake lines, transmission, etc... He is a good sport and a true craftsman. I don't know, however, if he will be willing to do another build with me after all the time this one took away from his life and I wouldn't blame him! I just can't thank him enough.

Notice the unfinished 1.7 in the background. It needs another coat or two of silver then reassembled! Oh yeah and the M-37 3/4 ton Dodge |
