They are never REALLY finished, but I installed the last part today and started putting miles on it to surface any problems.

Dick your engine install, plumbing, exhaust, wiring and linkages are neater than any
V8 conversion I've ever seen. Looks 'factory'
Outstanding.

Dick,

Super job. Looks so clean you would think it came from the factory

Thanks. We are quite lucky to have this forum and great parts vendors. The combination will keep the 914 around for a long time.

I've always loved the look of the early 914s. A simple but elegant shape. The only "tweaks" I felt they needed was an update of the stance, some 5 lug Fuchs, and more power...so that's what I did with this car (Oh, and the side markers needed to go)

I kept the V8 conversion simple with just the carb, rams horn headers, and parts help from KEP and Renegade. It's easy to have a clean engine compartment when there isn't much going on.

With its stock body, the car will never be a G Machine like some of the amazing V8 builds here. But fun enough!

Thanks again for all the help.

Congratulations on a fine job, that grandma red is the perfect sleeper colour !

I think this is the first V8 conversion that I could see myself owning, doesnt get better than that. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

That is an extremely well done 914-8 conversion. Absolute attention to detail and so clean it looks like the factory built it. I wish you years and years of smiles as you enjoy that beauty. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
