8000 euros seems like allot but prices are on the rise.... Yes some steps could have been taken to produce a nicer product but we are not talking a junker here nor a perfect concours car either..

Lot of weird stuff on that car...

The gold emblems are not original, someone plated or painted some 73+ emblems.

The speedometer is from a later car. Any claims about original mileage can be ignored or ridiculed.

That "puke tank" for the oil breather is very unusual in an fuel-injected car. More common with carb conversions.

Could be a fun driver, but is unlikely to fetch top dollar as a collectible.

Hay Dax buddie,

Looking forward to seeing you when you come out. Well the guys are really on this one for you.

Maybe it can be tracked back to the time before the paint job. I really hate it when all the wires and such are painted up front. People really do not get it.

The rear passenger side wheel looks different then others. Polished and different center cap. Maybe the one in the trunk is the original but was bent or cracked as it looks a used rim judged by the rust from the brake rotor.
The rear right trunk targa holder looks to have red overspray on it so it was replaced.

Hey Dax- @dax1969

If you happen to be in SoCal (LA/OC) on Sunday, Aug 25th maybe we can meet up and you can borrow one of my 914's and take a drive to LA's monthly Cars & Coffee.

Great early morning event mostly filled with all sorts of unique Porsches.

Let me know. I'm sure we can gather a few local members to join in the fun.

Dang, that's a nice invitation... unfortunately I will, if all according to plan, be between Flagstaff and Lake Powel/Page....

Thanks anyway... highly appreciated !

Thks, tried to email through the platform here but no luck.
But if he sold in 2014 the car, most probably, has been sold many times before ending up here...

Hi Bob, I got, once again, some very good feedback fm the guys here... they see things I didn't notice... very helpfull. I also hate the overspray but see this a lot on ex USA cars...

I will arrive LA 21st pm and, after the roadtrip, will be back in LA (Santa monica actually) on 4th september. We have to catch a flight on 6th. Check your agenda to see if we can go out for diner on 4th or 5th september. I will send you a private email later on.

bye for now
Danny/Dax
