I learned a lot today.

1) people tend to jump to conclusions and pass judgement quickly.
2) people love to jump on the bandwagon ( mob mentality ).
3) friends will stick with you. Even if they think you are out of line, they will at least try to encourage you or find out why you feel the way you do.
4) some things just don't matter.

I've spent a lot of time with all you folks. I've met some of you. I've driven with some. Some of you have parts I've sent you. I've learned how to work on my car from some of you. I've instructed some of you in driving and welding, tech.
You've made me laugh and offered me comfort.

Today a lot of you made me sad. You piled on when I was down.

Maybe my post was cryptic or confusing, but it wasn't a personal attack.

Where are you admins? In the background...

Yes, I learned a lot today.

Maybe you did too.

I can only think of one reason to make a request like this public.

I'm sure it's not this one.

get enough people mad at me so at the WCC, when I'm in the dunking booth fund raiser, nobody will want to pass up a chance to drop me in the tank of Por-15...

I don't know what Trek's motivation is for this, but I've been truly embarrassed by his conduct ever since this site went live. First there were posts that seemed aimed at stirring up trouble instead of building community, and now we've got this request.

Trek, if you don't want to play here that's your choice, but just let it go and go away if you don't like the direction of this site - or start a topic where you express your views on where the direction is wrong and phrase it in a way that is constructive and not inflammatory.

Let's make it our purpose to build up the community of 914 owners and evaluate every post against that goal before we post.

I see it as a way to kiss more ass at the 914club site...you know damn well that he'll be gloating about the request and if fullfilled he'll be trying to round up others to follow his "revolution" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif) ...... personally, I'd be happy to see him sell his 914 and get a Miata or something else and go whine someplace else...sorry if that offends anyone (except for KT)

sorry trek. Action - ReAction. Sir Isaac was a bright fellow. no need to expand on this...

one thing ive learned from some really bright people... is that YOU control YOUR emotions. i CANT make you sad... its YOUR choice to BECOME sad. i cannot make you sad... nor cannot make you happy. YOU are in control of your emotions... you choose your response to the stimuli... not us.

I've enjoyed some of your contribution, your /6 conversion and I frequently watch your in car vids, living on the track vicariously through you.

But I think you need to find something better to do than bait everyone here. Who cares?

Interesting question: who owns what is posted?

Know a little about this, wife has been in publishing (magazine and web) for over 20 years. Generally once you post in a forum like this, it goes into the public domain UNLESS you copy right it.

It never fails to amaze me how many of you folks Trekkor manages to get riled up. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
Time and time again.

if everyone started ignoring his posts maybe he would go away like you want him to. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

His posts always seem to cause emotional responses whether it is about something more existential like this thread or when he is going to build his next modification for his car from Homedepot.

I guess I don't get it anymore. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dead horse.gif)

Hello,

I hung out with Brad and Andy tonight at the 3.6 conversion, and don't think there's any point in side taking. . . things have come to an agreed resolution. Sure, it certainly could have been less dramatic. . . well, couldn't have been more dramatic (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) but it's done.

I'm personally a fan of information redundancy. If one site goes down temporarily for whatever reason, there's a much better chance that the critical information I need or the critical advice I need to get will still be available. Please keep the vital 914 data up on both servers. Plus, if both servers simultaneously go down, I still have NARP to turn to.

Trek,
Why do you do this? Brad asked you to stay away from this site and you agreed. You even mentioned that you don't remember when the last time you logged in "over there".
I like you Trek, you gave me tips on tile working but the whinning is getting old.
