I got a new project and I need some info on where to look for guidance and parts. Has anyone out there built a T-bucket before? Recently? I have spent days running google searches and many of the sites with stuff I need are gone or don't have the year I am building. Here are some pictures of where I am at. The first one is what it looked like in 1972 when my uncle Butch bought it. The pictures after that are what it looks like today after putting it back to a roller. WHen I got to it, the frame was leaning against the wall with the axles holding it up and all of it was strapped tot he wall.

I need to find a body for this thing. It has a 4 seater Touring body on it with full fenders. The body and fenders were lost to a body shop when Butch died a few years ago. He took it in to have them paint it and went in to the hospital a few weeks later. By the time they found out where he took it, the body shop closed and moved never to be found.

Other parts I am missing are the front shock towers that hold the headlights, radiator and shroud and I would really like to change the front to disc brakes.

I had a friend of mine that helped a guy build one. I told me when they finished it it was so fast and dangerous that the guy sold it in 6 months. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I actually talked to the second one you posted up a few days ago, it is an option but it is in Idaho and would have to be shipped here. The 3rd one is an actual touring sedan which is what I was looking for. the only difference is it is a 27 and the one that was on here was a 23, I am not sure if there is any difference in length. My frame is only 105" but I could make it longer if needed.

Thanks for the links, they are very helpful.

Uhhhhh.

Where is the pan hard rod and/or 4 link for the rear end?

How is the rear end held in place...?????????

And we gotta dump those KYBs on the ass end.
Lets have Jimmy get ya some Aldans/Carreras coil overs and well use a 4 link and a pan hard rod.
We can get ya the stuff for cheaper than ya can online. Oh yeah......

And NO you can't paint it 914 yellow.

OK.. I'm coming over tonight. I have to see this.
Break out the cuttin torch.. We R gunna make a rat rod.

And I have your tickets........

Lets use the LS7. Oh yeah........

This is what I want to do! 4 link rear/coilovers and as yet undetermined independent front also. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/burnout.gif)

I kinda like it with the solid axle front (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) It gives it a nice hot rod look.

You can do an Art Chrisman style front end. it looks like a straight axle. But it's independent.

Very Kewl...

I'm collecting parts for a Rat Rod project. I have a 29 Ford coupe shell with the roof hacked off, a stock frame, and a Enderle 8 stack injection for a sbc.

Here's the plan: belly pan scraping low open rod, over stuffed wrap around bench seat type tucked interior, 8 stack injection converted to MS, Radir or American Torque Thrusts with Cheater slicks. Beam axle front with torsion bars off a 914 up front and maybe in the rear.
