What size is the nut that secures the steering wheel? Gotta take it off to change out my dash frame.

If you are removing the frame , just unbolt the whole steering column , 4 allen head / hex 8mm socket / 13mm hex ( which ever you have ). You would probably plan on removing the column anyway.

I believe a 1 1/16 standard will work too.

I believe a 1 1/16 standard will work too. Yep, I used a 1-1/16" because I had one from my Dad's old tool collection. 1-1/16" = 26.9875 mm, which is pretty close! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |

An impact wrench makes it easy, otherwise you'll need to figure out how to hold the steering wheel to get leverage on it.

I picked up a $8 27mm socket and used an impact wrench, 5 seconds later; viola!
