It seems like you have a good source of used boxes there so that is great news for everyone. I sell used synchro bands at these events for $25, teeth for $50 and sliders for $50. 1st sliders area $100 if in good shape. Bearings are $50 used. These are the discounted prices for those at the event and are for used.

You should order your seal kits now. I recommend calling GPR (see number below) and ordering from them because I like to give them my biz (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

The usual build will find you needing:
- 1st band
- teeth for first
- second band
- teeth for second
- maybe one slider
- 1st slider
- seal kit
- maybe a bearing

As you can see, most of those parts can be had used for cheap and in good shape. I have some here and can sell them before I show if you want to reserve. This is normal and often if you find you dont need it, someone else does and you can swap.

For new 1st gear sliders at $350 contact aircooldedtechguy on this forum. Nate is hooking us up as the usual price is about $500.

I have some decent used ones for $100, but they are first come, first served.

Clear as mud???

Gint, please add Carrie + her father to the attendees list. I think other than them it is up to date.

Anyone wishing to be a builder at the last minute is still welcome. We will have the space. I have done groups of 15 or more with out an issue (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) If you dont build, you will be sorry (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

The video may be out in time. We are scheduled for such, but you know how that goes (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

So, if I flew out for this one is it possible to get picked up from the airport and dropped at a hotel close to the clinic site? How about pick up and drop off of a core tranny at GH? Now, this is just a question, you all should know that my wife is never going to say yes but I can dream. Never been away from the wife and boys, 3 of them, for more than one night and I am not sure how the boys would react when mommy called me to tell me that they were fighting and that I should come home and "fix" them! They would know I couldn't!

We can get that done Jonathan. There are several hotels within 3 miles of "ground zero". Google maps link to hotels around the area of the build site

Jonathan, that would be a very wise business move (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Anyone who needs new parts, let me know. I have a local source. Nate's supplier is out of 1st sliders, but I am pretty sure I can get them fast and for the same $350 price.

Typically what hardware is the cause of the first to second gear shift crunch? Almost every transaxle I have with problems has that issue. I'd like to be able to roll out of the clinic with one functional unit, but to do that I suppose I'd have to buy parts ahead of time?

It is always a good idea to buy 1st slider, and bands. We will have some cores there that people said they would bring, this will yield some parts, but 1st sliders are typically shot. Sliders for 2-5 and bands are what 2nd would need. I have sliders for 2-5. I am all out of 1st sliders, they got bought up quickly (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
