QUOTE(Gint @ May 6 2010, 07:15 AM) *
Typically what hardware is the cause of the first to second gear shift crunch? Almost every transaxle I have with problems has that issue. I'd like to be able to roll out of the clinic with one functional unit, but to do that I suppose I'd have to buy parts ahead of time?
It is always a good idea to buy 1st slider, and bands. We will have some cores there that people said they would bring, this will yield some parts, but 1st sliders are typically shot. Sliders for 2-5 and bands are what 2nd would need. I have sliders for 2-5. I am all out of 1st sliders, they got bought up quickly (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Where do I get one then? I guess I'd like to buy 1st and 2nd slider and bands. I have more than one trans to go through, so too many parts won't be an issue. Like it ever was... for me that is.

FYI, GPR has seal kits and will give you a good price when you mention the clinic (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Gint, I am planning to build next weekend, if you could switch me over from the watching to building list.
Thanks,
~Ross

I will bring a cooler filled with a smorgasbord of Beer.
The shop may have a restriction in that regard. Check with Steve.

I didn't know it was even possible to work on a 914 without a beer (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif),
Let me re-phrase: " I will bring a cooler filled with a smorgasbord of Beer or another beverage of equal or lesser value."

Some quick notes since it is late, I am buzzed, and need to get to sleep.

Anyone wishing to build can pay at the door, but may not get stainless hardware as I buy according to number of paid. Just contact me if you havent already.

I usually get in about 9:30-10am and work until midnight if others are willing to as well. That leaves Sun open to do another or to finish up.

Breaking for lunch is not common. We always do a bring and eat and stop when you want. This is a self paced course so there is no official break time. Food on site is a plus because we will be dirty and smelly and going to a restaurant would be a challenge. It kind of throws off the groove as well. But, I will adjust to what you all decide (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
