Mark the group buy king, dropped his car off last week. I will get a good run at it next week, but for now I will post the beginning pics. I pulled his tank to take to the refinishers and OHHHH BOY what 20 years does to gas (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif) More pics to come next week (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) Since there seems to be very little rust to deal with it will allow me to spend more time than usual on the body and paint work (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Looking at pelican, I'm glad I picked up the 3.2 when I did. Engine prices seem to be on the rise!

someday you may have a car to put it in (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) This is going to be your year. Now that I have a good body man I can concentrate on the metal work and get a routine going. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Sweet looking engine!
What HP and Torque do you expect to get out of that thing? Nice work on the car too Scotty. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |

Sweet looking engine! What HP and Torque do you expect to get out of that thing? Nice work on the car too Scotty. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Euro compression, 964 cams, custom steve wong chip, slightly stiffer valve springs. ~240hp. PO bult it for his streetable track car and then built an all out track engine. He sold the cr with the race engine and I bought this one. I've talked to him since purchasing and he's waiting for a ride in my car. Told me the engine feels pretty stock around 2-4K but comes on really strong up to 6850 redline. He said it felt significantly stronger than the stock 3.2 in his car and was more fun to drive than the race engine. I just need a late model DME and a conversion kit for the flywheel and clutch. Headers, muffler and a bunch of small parts. And Scotty to do his thing. |
