Now that all you folks have seen how much fun they had at theWCR, it is time to start planning on the MUSR 11 down in the great Smokey Mountains on the Tail of the Dragon! Just think, 318 curves in 11 miles and that is only one of the exciting roads we will travel. Don't be square, make plans to be there!! Go to the first page of this thread for registration information.

Leesa and I made our reservations with the hotel last night. Were looking forward to the twisties, (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chowtime.gif) and she's threatening to bring her MINI as well.

Nope, we wanted to grab a room while we could (and Leesa was going with the idea (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grouphug.gif) ). I'll get it sent in tonight.

Way to go Kevin, look forward to seeing you both on The Dragon. This is one trip you will be glad you made. Won't be long and Ken and I will be going out to do some pre-runs and that is always a blast! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_bump.gif) for Thread

It's looking like I'll be unavailable later this year, saving my vacation for the Reno Air Races in September. (After that I'll have perhaps a day of vacation..) If that looks like it's gonna fall through or I somehow wind up with more days of vacation than I'm expecting, I'll do everything in my power to make it.

Finally started messing with the 914 again. Engine drop in the near future for general cleanup. Convinced that I have a vacuum leak or wonky ignition. Or perhaps an electrical issue. Or maybe something else... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Driving The Dragon surely is more fun than watching a bunch of airplanes fly around but everyone has different interest. I sure hope that your schedule will allow you to make it, going to be a blast. I know of 1 Oklahoma City resident that should be coming in their six.

Well Mr. Shoe, it looks like I've convinced a few people here in Carolinas Region to rearrange some things so we might have a few 914's from the region make it after all.

I'm working on a few personal scheduling issues, but it's looking better so far.

Oh man, "meeting" Huey would be the bee's knees! Motivation increased!

Some of the setbacks presently are that:
  1. Wifey now has it in her mind to make this a family trip, while I've moved in the "Daddy's" retreat direction
  2. I'm not sure what my 914 needs to make the trip. nor how I'd get it done other than dropping it off at Brad Mayeur's place 4 hours away.

I'm sure Brad would be happy to see you and your car, not to mention while you are there you can convince him to make the trip also. Brad is a super guy and also the FIRST member/vendor to commit swag for the event. I also just received a pm from another member informing me that they have booked their room. I am going to call the hotel tomorrow and see how many rooms are booked. Hope you can make it!
