Clay,

I just registered and I'm mailing check# 3195 to you today.

I realize I missed the t-shirt cut-off, but if you end up with an extra XL, I'll pay you at the event.

Looks like I will be driving my 1973 914-4 unless I get the Webers adjusted on my 914-6. Either way, I'll bring a 914.

See you in a couple weeks.

Rich

The time has come for me to set a deadline for 916 participation as it will take awhile to get it road ready, so here it is:

If we cannot have 40 paid 914s by this friday OCT 1st, the 916 cannot be there.

The point is that if you have procrastinated about sending in your registration payment, the time is NOW!!

Call your friends...it's not that far to have fun. This is likely the largest gathering of 914's in the country...

What about in history? Other big events in the past are...??

Come on and register!

In order to sweeten the pot, I'm adding in another (small) incentive if we can hit the 40 914 count!!!

I've arranged with one of our members to make a bonus gift for each registered 914 if we can hit 40 cars.

So please don't leave the rest of us hanging! REGISTER NOW!!!!

Just got back from talking to a Knoxville area teener. Told him about MUSR and he is going to register. He has a V8 powered '73.

The count should be real close to 40 now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

IIRC we needed 4 and have picked 2 of those up. Ryan(?) in Maryville could make it 39.

Who wants to be No. 40??

Not that the Dr's 916 will really make this Event any better. IT WON"T!!
Unless you are the one driving it of course. But I bet it is sure purty to look at and I bet Herr Dr would be a treat to have around also??

Yep, on the 22nd had 36. Since then via online registration picked up 2 more 914s.
Knoxville guy I talked to today will register in the next day or so.
Ryan is still undecided.

I am really really surprised that even after our mass mailing, we have no more than 38 or 39 confirmed and paid 914s. I am sure that if the California fruit boys were organizing an event they would have many many more than this. Shame on you east coast guys who have not stepped up. Richard Towle what happened to you? Ray Mitel? Mark Epstein? Let's get 50 914s. I actually thought that there would be 100!
I have offered everything I reasonably can.

You need to gather up all the Atlanta area teeners and parade them all up to TN.

Not sure if I'm being counted since Clay hasn't received my check yet.
It was mailed today - for 1, plus tee shirt. I'm still planning to drive my white car and expect to arrive Friday morning.

Does anyone know the record number of cars attending an event? Also, myself and Jamie Donaldson will be leaving Lexington, Ky on Thursday. Lexington is at the intersection of I-64 and I-75, anyone going through let me know so that we can try to hook up and caravan south. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
