I knew it would get a rise out of the Rusted one to call it purple. Had to do it. I will be driving Rusty's Purple car to this event. Not sure the red one will make it.

Keep it up, guy... you'll be renting a PT Cruiser for your trip. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/slap.gif)

Only 12 rooms left & we will have to release them to the general public in a couple of days so if you don't have your room reserved I suggest you do so now. Also, I will have to turn in a final head count to the restaurants in a couple of days so if you want to eat you better get signed up now! ONLY 10 DAYS TIL THE PARTY STARTS.

Congrats everyone for the fine effort. This will be the best 914 event in recent history. I am in to bring the 916 some stuff for the "goodie" bags, and door prizes. I am also going to have the guys register three more 914s at least and encourage everyone to tell their friends to last minute register.

I can't promise t-shirts for anyone now. They have already been sent to the vendor for printing. But I can promise a good time.

And Rusty.....

It is PURPLE!!!!! And I still have touchup paint for you!

Man, I have so much to do before getting on the road next Wed evening! Between Bonsai club meeting, band practices, kid's gymnastics, and guests coming in this weekend, it's gonna be TIGHT.

Got my Rennenmetal tow bar bracket installed but sheared off a bolt for mounting valence. Valence doesn't fit so dusted off old crappy repro and am trying to fit it. Picked up HF tow bar yesterday and safety chains but they were out of the magnetic tow lights so need to find others.

Need to flush brake fluid, change oil and probably should have valves adjusted.

Hmm, anyone want to do a parking lot valve adjustment tech session next Thursday afternoon? I volunteer my car! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Enabled somewhere in your browser settings. Usually is defaulted to work.

Try another browser or perhaps another computer.

For the locals in the know.... Is the Diamondback worth getting over to at some point as well? Leesa wants to get some more twisties on the beginning return leg of our trip? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
I think it is the little Switzerland thing that's got her interest peaked.
I'm on the fence with this one, with the journey home and all, BUT since we are that close???? What say ye?

I have never been that far up the Blue Ridge Parkway but I always enjoyed driving the BRP from Cherokee to Asheville.

+1 on that section of the BRP.

Also, Highway 28 between Franklin, NC & Murphy, NC is a nice scenic drive.

Highway 64 between Franklin, NC north to Bryson City, NC is CRAZY... I've driven it several times and had passengers get motion sickness. Think of it as the Unknown Tail.
