Driving my 914 on the back roads where the old rich people live, I see this old lady putting out a sign "Cars for Sale". I stop & ask her if I can see the cars. She says yes she thought it was time to get rid of them. When she open up the garage doors there were two cars under cover. I pull the cover off the first one to see a 904 GTS. She said it was her husbands car that had died back in the early 80's & would like to sell it to some who would appreciate it as much as he did. Then I pull off the second car cover to find a Deusenburg Touring Coupe. She said it was her husbands father car that he could never seem to part with. I agreed on a price & took the "Cars for Sale" sign down. I came back latter that day with $5,000 & 2 rollback car carriers.

Joe Ricard drove home today in his new to him Porsche 914 from Gold Bar Washington, and he experienced no problems during the long arduous trip. When asked how he liked the drive, Joe replied, "I'm ready to do it all over again".
Congratualtions Joe and many happy miles of motoring.
