Here are close-ups of the area on 914114...was previously curious about what all this lead build-up was doing on the cowl. The tank/filler spout could be original or changed. It was a prototype working model after all.

But then again, 914114 has bright trim on the door tops, the puzzle car does not. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Yes. Because this is a prototype car. Anything you can think of was done to them, and then some.

Regarding the hood badge, no PRODUCTION car ever came with a badge from the factory.

Interesting point ...

There's only one person i know that could have a look at that and tell us if the underside of the cowl on 914.114 has evidence of a patch ...

But it has 914/4 wheels and hubcaps ...

Hard to tell from the image, those could be 5-lug steel wheels with hubcaps ...

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif)
Those look like /4 hubcaps and trim rings to me.

That looks exactly like the car on the puzzle and in the photos.

At a guess, the color did not reproduce so well, and came out more yellow on the puzzle than in person?

Too many differences from 914.111. See post #15 in this thread.

Later model or more likely 911 interior rear view mirror.
I'll bet the early 914 interior mirror was to imitate the shape of the rear window.
