I had a bad clutch chatter so I changed the clutch and when I first started it everything was fine it shifts great, no chatter but when I go to start it the starter turns real slow and will not start without me putting a jumper cable on and revving up the car I'm jumping from. When I do this it starts fine and runs great. I bought a new battery today because the battery was old but that doesn't seem to help...ant ideas?

Did you clean and reattach the ground strap on the top of the trans?

Yes I cleaned and reattached the ground strap...Maybe it needs some additional attention. I'll try that.

Or the cables on the starter itself.
