Ok my new to me six conversion goes in to get the ugly stripe removed next week.

see this thread for pic's

So I have some very minor surface rear trunk rust to get rid of. I started on it last night with a wire wheel, and have most of it gone. Under the tailights in spots, no holes or anthing serious though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/boldblue.gif) , My question is I am grinding off the puffy sealer stuff to expose the whole seam running the width of the trunk, to make sure I get everthing. Is it ok to leave it without sealer there or once it's ground down and just prep for paint, is it better to seal it with something if so what. I'm just doing the most prep work I can to save some dough. Sorry I don't have pic's yet. Ferg.
