I'm glad I didn't bring my teener for the drive; it was nice to be able to sit in the passenger seat and sight see for once. Thanks John for letting me co-pilot.

Sorry I missed that drive! looks like fun.
Do I count now? ( It doesnt run yet, but I have a rust bucket in the driveway that drives ;-) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i366.photobucket.com-10819-1286239089.1.jpg) I just bought it sight unseen from phoenix. It was delivered, I keep the trailer, and is race ready. However it doesnt start as it has sat for ~6 years after developing a "knock" during the last race. ( I suspect a rod bearing only ) It is a 71 1.7L. It has ZERO rust and only very minor dents. It is one of the nicest tubs I have seen in a while. I plan on getting it "minimally" street legal with a focus on racing. It came with a complete NEWer EXTRA 2.0L engine with FI & ECU. Here we go! Maybe by spring if my finance minister (wife) can resist an aneurysm when I start buying things.... Anybody know what the requirements are for street legal? I assume: Headlights, running lights (front&rear), turn signals (front&rear - but no side markers ...) windshield & wipers anything else? Also looking for a side shifter and have LOTS of parts to trade. Stu |

Hey Rob (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thisthreadisworthlesswithoutpics.gif) then we descend to Dana place. Hey Kev, I said I was a co-pilot; not the photographer. I didn't take any pics...lmao. Are you still up for a tranny and alternator swap this weekend at your place? |
