Does it matter which way the half shafts are mounted?

Do you use the same gaskets inside the trailing arm as on the transmission?

Why do I have a metal gasket like the paper one laying around here somewhere?

1) No

2) Yes

1.) No, but I have turned them around so that the outer end is now at the trans. They will wear in a different area on cv.

2. Yes, same
