I have used multiple coats of rubberized undercoating spray.

This board was working fine, but I wanted to seal up the fine cracks that appeared in the original potting.

Didn't want to use something that would be hard to remove if I had to work on it later.

Again?

I am addressing the relay board and do not know if it has worked recently or not, but while it's out ...... Soldering the factory riveted connections is a good idea after everything is squeaky clean, but re potting? I would prefer to use an original type material. Any ideas?

Thanks

I will be restoring mine and a friends. Will be covering it with "Flex Seal" after resistance checking all soldered connections. Will followup with how it goes.

Cheers!

I will be doing this shortly. Now is the time since everything is out of the chassis.

Turns out one of the features of electrical potting is heat dissipation. I'm going to try this stuff, which I found on Amazon.
