If there is someone who wants to organize an East Coast Ramble, I will be happy to coach them for the first event. I would love to have an event out there.

But you have to get your own travelling awards.... like the Crimson Shaft, the Elegance Award, and the Hildreth Award.

You going to teach them how to recruit volunteers then go AWOL? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Location was really a no brainer. Now we just have to make sure the facility fits our needs & standards. We generally stay at a hotel similar to where we just were so I'm not sure a motel will fit the bill. We definitely need a banquet room for Saturday night festivities.

How 'bout the parking lot bar b q grill area?? Laid back and lazy for once. Drive and Eat. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) , the best dinners I've been to, have been outdoors

Now if we can get Liv Tyler to wash cars, I'm in line to Register right now ! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

When is this due to happen? The AR venue is only 15 hours from me so I can be in if I am not on a rotation that does not allow vacation.

Nashville is about as centrally located in the eastern 1/2 as you get (draw a 500 mile radius around it on a map and see what I mean).

Great roads around there.

2nd and Broadway offer up tons of entertainment and eateries.

A day trip to Jack Daniels is not out of the realm of possibilities.

Something for everyone.

You guys do "well run, well organized" events. I'd say one there might draw the most number of cars and participants.

Nevermind... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Just read Bob's post. That sounds good.

Maybe Nashville for some other year. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I've talked to Bob on the phone several times. He's a standup guy, and the roads there are as good as they get. Banquet should not be a problem. There are plenty of places in Eureka that can cater. If not, I'll bring a couple of my smokers and fix you some championship BBQ. Let me know when you wanna go Clay, and I'll meet ya there.

I think I have heard of this place. Saw it on TV one time. Sounds like a nice place. They have a big fire pit for sitting around at nights and socializing and such. From what I it was a pretty cool place, even if it is in Arkansas. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Will this likely be held in October again?
If so, I guess the possibilities would be:
10/6 - 9 (Columbus day weekend. Good or bad?)
10/13 - 16 (equivalent to MUSR11 dates)
10/20 - 23

We are going to Eureka Springs. I am waiting to hear back from Ron Mott (who is still looking for his steering wheel) as to the dates for Porsche palooza. We don't want to step on that date.

It will be in October, sometime around the MUSR dates from this year.

Keep your eyes peeled.

I am assuming nothing about this. Waiting for Ron to let me know the dates.

If my 914 didn't puke all its oil when I got home from MUSR, I'd be doing my best to head to the PCA-Palooza next month (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
(Still somewhat tempted to go in the Audi!)

Isn't Petit Le Mans the first weekend in October?
Also, for me, that is Circle Yer 'Wagens VW show (I sell event shirts and supply the awards plaques). Been doing that one for over 15 years.

The next weekend (6th-9th) would work best for me. Either way, I will still try to make it.
