Mark, I got your cold impersonal group e-mail. I cried for 4 minutes and 23 seconds. We've broken bread together man! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) Seriously, You want the core to be 'stripped' what does this mean? |

Sorry Rob,
Didn't realize you would be so hurt. I'll smooth it over with a beer or two next time I'm in SAC. It is a good question as to what is meant about stripped down. I need only the interior metal parts to rebuild these. I was looking for one of my cores to put some pictures up of exactly what I mean, I can do that tomorrow evening. I didn't think my visors were too bad till I grabbed them today and they had that nice crunchy feel, haha. PM me the info, thanks. I may go leather if the price diff isn't so bad, so an estimate on that would be cool.

I'll have to finalized the numbers for a leather upgrade when my guy is back in town after the first of the year. -Mark PS I'm still looking for a bad set of visors to gut and take some pictures. |

The only other set of visors are too nice to cut up, but this is what we need when I say stripped.

Mike, Just a word of advice but, hope you figured it out yourself: There are two sizes of visors (different length). I think the difference was about 1/2". I figured it out the hard way when I recovered mine. Nice job!! |

The only other set of visors are too nice to cut up, but this is what we need when I say stripped. So, to strip the sunvisor, you just cut away the vinyl and padding and clean up the frame? I sort of hate to cut mine up since they are intact, but they need recovering. What is a good way to ship these to Mark? Will a pair fit in a large US Postal Service flat rate box which is $10.70. Should additional stiffening or padding be added to the visor frames? Thanks. |

By weight you should be able to save a few bucks shipping the cores in any box they fit into. They will weigh less than 1#. As a finished part they will bump into 2#, which jumps up more. Yes I do need to have the vinyl cut off, it takes abotu 10-15 min, but it saves you shipping and you can imagine how much time it would take me to strip these. -Mark |
