With the interest shown on Mikey914s thread and the world markers, thought I would bring this back to the top. Until SirAndy has time to finish the official mapping app, this will supply our need to know where all the 914s are (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

914s Around the World

Directions for those who need:
1. Must be logged in a google account
2. Zoom in to your vicinity. Click on the map to set.
3. Click the EDIT button.
4. Click the pushpin icon, fill in details, and click on map to set marker.
5. Click SAVE and then DONE on sidebar when finished.

As noted earlier in the thread, no need to set your specific location. Just a point in the city/town is fine.

Was just looking @ the 914rubber map--looks like some Somalian Pirates have captured a 914 and taken it off the coast!

QUOTE(smontanaro @ Jan 3 2011, 05:30 PM) *

I know I'm stereotyping Palm Springs, but can't most of the residents afford something less NARPy than a 914?

In Palm Springs, you can drive a 914 in December and January - or after dark.
Even if you had good AC in a 914 - and there are a few but you really have to work at it - full-tilt AC in an aircooled car on a HOT HOT day is not a happy thing.

And you'll probably spend less on a Hyundai _with_ AC than good AC for a 914...

Look at all the 914s in Texas!

/Has never seen a 914 on the road in Texas other than my own and when I drove one in Dallas. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

In the Redwood City / San Mateo, Calif. (SF Peninsula) areas there seems to be quite a few decent 914's roaming around the streets, but if you want to see lots of them in one place, swing by Rich Bontempi's "High Performance House".....there's lots of them there, though most are hacked in pieces waiting for an insurance claim.
