HO-LY CRAP MIKE!!!!

That thing looks unbelievable. You did it up right for sure. From the pics, it certainly looks like it was worth the trouble. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif)

Geeze Mike, that thing really is going to come out phenomenally well. I can't wait till it gets back here now. I am here to offer up my reassembling help when the time comes. I'm sure that is going to be a very tedious, time consuming, nervous, careful, process. But, hell, putting it all back together is the fun part. /peter

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wub.gif) BEAUTIFUL! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif)
Makes the wait certainly worth it!
I'm not going to volunteer to help assemble, to scared to be near it .
But will come over, help drink beer and supervise! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beer.gif)
Congrat Mike!
Hope your wife find something soon. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/aktion035.gif)

QUOTE (watsonrx13 Posted: Dec 24 2004 @ 04:44 AM)
Bee-U-ti-ful..... Wow Mike, it is looking great...

BTW, I assume this was the step of spraying the interior and underneath and the outside body will be painted separately, along with the doors and hoods? (I noticed the masked off areas...). Are you going to paint the top or leave it the factory black?

Yes, and no.

1) Non-polish areas have been painted as you said. Exterior panels will be done next with special effort applied to body work and paint polishing. Couldn't wait to show off the tangerine paint though. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)

2) You mean the targa top? It will be factory black. I'm initially going to powder coat or anodize black the roll bar and sail panel trim (I have an extra set), as well as the aluminum seal channels on the A and B pillars. Basically any stainless or aluminum that is against a large field of black anywhere on the canopy. Make sense?

Yo, local guys! Thanks! We'll have an unloading party when I get it home boys.

I just got back from a conjugal visit with my tub. I couldn't help touching it. All of that smooth shiny paint instead of crusty, rusty panels. If I could have hugged it, I would have. Is that wrong?!?!

My Camera literally died. I just sent it back to Nikon today.

Next week will be base primer. I'll try to get another camera to snap some pics with. Troy is working on straightening the sides. Final body prep here we come. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif)

Thanks for steppin in Eric.

Nasty day at work today. It doesn't help when they start talking about firing the biggest slacker - amongst 14 people who are to busy to slack much at all anyway - to "motivate" the others, it isn't a good idea to be surfing 914world.com on the job.

I haven't seen it myself since two weekends back. Troy has taken a few insurance jobs to pay the bills also. I keep telling him, The longer it takes you to finish, the better my chances of decent weather to haul it back home. So no rush."

It's gettin there. There will lots of updates to this thread when it gets close to done.
