Karl, sorry for the news. The main thing to consider is your confidence in whom ever you guide your treatment. In the Conn. are are several good centers, Yale/NewHaven Hospital, Hartford Hospital ever U. Conn. at Farmington. If you would wish to go further, the Dana Farber Institute in Boston is very active in treatment protocols as well as MGH. As was previously mentioned, the Memorial (Sloan Kettering) has had an agressive protocol involving nodal disection for years and have published several results of their previous protocols as well regarding ongoing protocols. I know of no single institute which has shown significantly better protocols. While some identify a specific Medical Center, almost all large protocols are national studies, involving multiple centers. This is due to the need to have significant numbers of patients enrolled for accurate results.
Bottom line, work with what ever protocol/center you feel best with.
God's Blessings

All things considered, I am told to use Sloan and not Dana Farber. The referrals I got through Sloan were to a pulmonary guy:

Abraham Sanders
525 E 68th St
New York, NY
(212) 746-2900

He is located in the Hospital for Special Surgery and works with a special cancer research group that is studying nodules in the lungs.

If you need more information, etc., let us know.

Best luck.
