The holes in the floor are definitely for the arms of the spot welder to get into position. For instance, think about the center tunnel and how it's welded to the floor pan. Also the cross members were spot welded and those holes would've been used for that as well.

Our 914's were never dipped for paint (or anything else). That technology wasn't widespread in factories until after the 914 was out of production.

Originally, yes.

Only the 1.8s were not D-jet from the factory.

Little progress again, from here

http://harrasteet.1g.fi/kuvat/OmaPossu+II/...+7.1.12+009.JPG

to here

http://harrasteet.1g.fi/kuvat/OmaPossu+II/...13.1.12+008.JPG

Every now and then I wonder why I am spending my time doing this! Time and a lot money! It would be so much easier to just buy good 914-6 and do this with it

What does this "B2." mean? It's in steering wheels center pad.

Btw it's called Audi Quattro here in Europe (Coupe quattro is without turbo engine and has narrow body).

I think between steering wheel and horn pad should be something "elastic"? What?

I got new pictures of my previous project, -71 914 1,7. These pictures were in local magazine Klassikot about year ago. Nice pics (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
