Is this unit worthy of a 914/4 Djet. Crane XR 700?

They work fine and you have the backing of a big company like CRANE.
Crane bought a smaller company called Allison many years ago that developed this XR700. B |

Is this the same Allison as in Allison Transmissions who was purchased by Rolls Royce?
Was it a part of it, or just have the same name? Allison is a big employer here in Indy. |

FWIW, I installed an Allison xr-700 in one of my 911's in 1985 or so....
I sold the ignition 2 years ago when I put crank fire in my 911.... The XR-700 is still running strong...going on 18 years of service.. |
