Got a problem. I pulled both carbs apart, cleaned and reassembled. They were dirty on the exterior, and pretty clean on the inside.
I think I was pretty thorough, and blew carb cleaner through all the passages. Now, on the left (driver) side carb doesn't seem to feed fuel through the accelerator pump jets. Could I have assembled something wrong? Advice? -Rusty |

Not sure what the problem was... but I fixed it.
I pulled the carb from the engine, and I took the pump apart with my eyes closed (so I wouldn't see how the pieces were in there). Then, I reassembled according to the diagram. I must have had something loaded inside backwards. I should probably replace those rubber diaphrams soon. They're only two years old, but looked pretty ragged. -Rusty (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap56.gif) |

Bet you put the spring on the wrong side or the cam upside down or sump-tin stew-ped like that.
I don't know how many times I've put something together and said "DOH!!!!" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) Least ya fingered it out! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) |
