I am going to install the front and rear suspension this Saturday while the tub is still on the rotisserie.
The suspension has been powder coated. Any tips on what needs to be done to powder coated pieces prior to installing them? So far I have removed the powder coating from the F&R caliper mounting ears and the rear pieces that are used to attach the dust shields. Any other areas where the powder coating must come off? Any items that would be much easier to install before the suspension is on??? Anyone in the area have the time and want to help??? Attached image(s) |

Doug,
If I'm not at Goodguys with my dad I'll help. No experience, but I have tools (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Doug,
it looks like Dad & I will be at Good Guys in the morning. When are you starting and where? If we get back early I'll come down and help. |

I am planning to get started early, about 9:30AM.
I think that I am missing a couple of steering pieces. I'm going to post another thread and ask some questions. I may need to go to a salvage yard near Columbus to check out a couple of 914's there for usable parts for the steering pieces that I may need. |

Thanks Garold. I may need the parts. You have any pics of these parts in the car. I need a pic of the steering shaft going through the firewall. The gas tank will need to be out to get the pic that i need.
