I got a new toy today from HF, (powder coating gun) ran a test on two small parts, they came out pretty nice using my Home oven. The smell was not too bad, I am still at home, My wife didnt kick me out. I dont even think she noticed that I was using the oven.

The 5 lug suspension upgrade is completed, I am installing the door hardware, glass , seals and view mirrors. I am still waiting for some other seals from Mickey to install the front windshield. and back glass.

I am using my 914 calipers for now with the 912 suspension (front), I will be upgrading at a later time. I came across a small issue. The caliper was off by 1/2 inch and was touching the disk. I decided to use an 1/2 inch washer between the calipers and the hub and it fits perfectly. anyone went that way before?

As shown in the picture, My front wheel also need a spacer, what do you guys recommend?

Calipers/struts have 2 different offsets machined for the spacing. Looks like you had a miss/match.

Dont know the specifics, hopefully someone else will chime in.

PS the wheels look great!!

I hope you are not using an oven that you cook food in!

The fumes from powder coating are toxic!!!

Wow !!!! I can't believe how far you've come in such a short time as I too am
neck deep in one of these with 4 of the 8 panels done in rough 80/150 grit. You
should be very proud of your hard work as it looks awesome......congrats (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

help Again!

I was waxing the car, it got dark, and I didn't go back to it for a couples of days. today, I noticed the wax on part of the fender, like a watermark. I buffed it and it wouldn't come off. What can I use to take it off and rewax?

Rewax it.

If that doesnt work, use some rubbing compound by hand then rewax it.
