Rewax it.

If that doesnt work, use some rubbing compound by hand then rewax it.

I did both and no luck.

They are still shown. will try again later. the only thing that seems to make a difference is wet sand and is taking a long time.

Pic?

I doubt you stained the paint..

Runs leave a "stain", that could be what your seeing.. I have a couple of stains in my paint from where I sanded out runs, and no one but me sees them...

Just food for thought.

How many coats of paint do you have on that fender? Looks like you sanded through various coats and might have to repaint that quarter panel. A thought to conside. Jim

That coat was given a few weeks after the original paint. As efforts to take care of the drips . It does not peal off . And its not shown when the car is wet . I am windering if it will not show when waxed .

That stain isn't a stain. If you look closely you can see the top layer, and the bottom layer seperated by a thin glossy strip of orange paint.

When you repainted the areas that you sanded through after you shot it the first time, did you just paint the area you sanded through and then blend the color into the surrounding area? Or did you do 2 or 3 full coats over the entire panel in question?

As a painter, to me that pic looks like you sanded through in an area after the first time shooting it, and then you simply did a spot repair and didn't repaint the entire panel.

If this is what you did, you can't do that in single stage. You can with basecoat/clearcoat (2 stage) to a point. But then you have to use cutting clear and prep the repair area a very specific way.

My advice, sand the panel untill that effect is completely gone, sand the entire panel with 600 wet sandpaper and reshoot the ENTIRE panel.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Good luck bro!

It's a learning experience dude. The next time you shoot a car there are gonna be less mistakes. We all go through it.

Good luck!

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) Well painted again, I didn't have to paint the hoods and engine cover since they were all painted in one shot and they look great.

I sanded the whole car less hoods and engine lid with 600 grit, I did not get to the primer and shoot, It looks great...
this time there was no drips, no overspray. I feel like a pro.

Here are the new pics.

Oh yeah, The only reason I will buff and wet sand lightly is because already did on the trunk. but I will not be doing that much just to match the texture on the trunk.

Thanks for all your help.
