I'm packing up the garage between intermittent fits of apathy. It's frustrating, so much time in the garage staring at the car, and can't do anything with it.

Setting the rear suspension on the Sixer, adjusting the throttle to get more travel, and eliminating oil leaks (2). Drink some coffee and otherwise putter around the garage. Need to get the Sixer painted and ready for Parade in 2014; next to it sets the Alfa I need to get torn down, cleaned up, and back together for Alfa Romeo Nationals in 2013.
Boy, do I plan for the future!!!! Above tells you how fast I work: slow or slower; turn seventy in a month and I am still enjoying working on the cars. Gets kinda cold here in Flagstaff in the winter so I am really slow at that time. Hope everyone has a great day. Steve Hurt |

1. Remove bumper tits and plug holes. Repaint as necessary.
2. Replace sail vinyl and trim. 3. Clay bar, buff, polish and drive. Surprisingly, I'm already nearing the end of step 3! Life is good! |

Today I decided to add forced air to my brake ducting on the front of my 6.
Recently, I made some manifolds and added some ducting to my front brakes to give some fresh air cooling. Then, I bought a pair of 3'' duct fans to give it some force. Today, I took the time to make some fiberglass molds for the inlet and outlet. Then glassed up a 3''inlet on the rear of the spoiler, then put it all together. I did get one side done today. Hope everyone has a great Labor Day. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Ron Attached thumbnail(s) |

Finished cleaning and waxing the front trunk tank area. Rear shocks painted. Marine cleaned and Metal readied the gas tank, pulled off the blue brake lines and resevoir... That 37 year old brake fluid, looks like mud. Reinstall tomorrow.

I’ve been dealing with other projects today. As far as the 914 the roof is off, the iPod is charged and I’m just waiting for the sun to set.

Someone had cut a hole in the front trunk for what it think was going to be a fuel pump relocation. I made up a metal cover and painted it the color of the car. Installed a volt meter out of my blue car (stealing parts from it again). Fixed the turn signals (2 wires were reversed). Cleaned the rear lenses up. I'm counting the days till next Sunday's show. Not so sure I can pull everything together yet, bit what the he'll, I'm going to keep trying.

After some deliberation, I finally got around to painting my front trunk lid satin black to match the rear decklid. Couldn't stand all the rust bubbles on the lid anyways. While that dried, I managed to pack up all my tools to get ready to head off to school. Let the fun begin....

Went for a drive Saturday.
Today, pulled the car out of the garage to go for a longer drive. Noticed fluid where the left rear tire had been. Looked under car to see brake fluid dripping off the caliper. Pulled back into the garage. Closed garage door. Had a beer. |

Looked at the 914, took the 450SL out for a 30 mile drive, and worked the rest of the day on getting the 911 ready for Jerry (jmmotorsports) to pick it up next weekend and paint the car.

Worked on mine all weekend, pushed it out of the garage, sandblasted the trunk, under the trunk, and the engine compartment. All cleaned up pushed back in the garage ready for some primer and paint.
I need to go back to work so I can rest up for next weekend. Jeff |

I'm taking my car up to Stanwood on Saturday and I think we're going to head up to the Edmond's car show on Sunday. It'll be the first time I've ever had my car at anything like that. Hopefully I get some time to buff and polish this week. As for today, I finally got my deck stained after procrastinating/running into problems for a year. But no work on either of the 914's. Tomorrow should be a different story now that the deck stuff is out of the way though. |
