Has anybody had a problem with squeeling brakes? Really really squeeling brakes?
I also have a broken speedometer cable. Can you just put a new cable in the old housing? Or do you need to replace the whole housing?
Cheers, Elliot

Really, really squeeling brakes are sometimes caused by an improper rebuild, where the caliper pistons are rotated so that the high ridge on the top of the pistons is on the leading edge of rotor rotation, rather than the trailing edge. This will also cause the pads to wear very unevenly.

You gotta change out the speedo cable with a complete new one.

Good luck with it,

Phil

I once switched to a set of "carbon metallic" pads that squeeled like a feight train. Switched back to regular "metal master" pads and the squeel went away.

Anyone want to by a set of pads??
