See those of you meeting @ Sam's, manana. I got a surprise for the Dawn Patrol guys. Too bad Ethan folded. I guess I'll give his to the first double breasted chicadee (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) , that we see tomorrow.

We had a huge turn out, really nice to see so many people show up. I think we had 23 914's. Happy to say that every car that went up also came down, under it's own power (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) We also had an original 914-6 factory GT car show up. Here are some pics I took:

Had a GREAT time today... and this was my first run with any group in one of my cars! Glad I got to meet a lot of new people today and some familiar faces from the G&R swapmeet last week. There were some teeners there that I'm envious of. I think 22 cars was the last count? Shout out to Proto....your car is even more awesome in person man. So were the 6's! Wow!

The wife even had a great time with the other ladies there! I can honestly say that everyone there was fun to be around and chat with. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Hope to go on many more of these when work allows. Here are some pics I took today.

Cant thanks the event master enough for taking the time to put together a great drive and drive we did. This mountain had some great long fast shuts as well as lots of favorable tight turns made for the 914.
At last count all cars made it off the mountain and I think the candy colored 914s running up GMR was a great addition to all the biker that dominate the canyons. We got tons of thumps up from bikers and several guys taking the time to walk over for a few picture of the cars. All & all it was another great day with friends and car.
See everyone again soon

What a great day!! Beautiful weather, great people and amazing cars!! Mine ran great until the engine started sputtering, the tack bouncing to the moon and back and then it went "BANG" and crapped out....Turns out, the coil slipped from the mounting bracket and must have grounded out against the tin. A little twisting and pushing and I was back in business...Two others stopped to help and what a relief!! Didnt get your names, but many thanks for helping me out!

The lunch was great and the venue was perfect...I am really learning a lot about these cars and really enjoyed listening to everyones conversations about how these cars run and the interesting quirks that we have to overcome...appreciate everyone and their advice...Until next time, take care!!

BOO! I was right behind you and thought I was being shot. When the "Bang" occurred all I saw was a flash of flame and cloud of black smoke. I would have pulled in behind you but you dodged a big rock and I wasn't about to park on it. After that, no place to turn around.

So all in all, a good run. As stated, they all went up and all came down. How come nobody has mention that our fearless organizer ran out of gas. We all parked and waited for a LONG TIME. I hope his wife made him understand the value of preparation ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/slap.gif) Damn I wish Thomas were there ... the conversation would have been hilarious.

Anyway, kudos to Albertos .... he actually drove his car more than 3 miles in 5 years.

The Grey Ghost actually decided it needed to be there and started each time without protest.

For whomever follows me next time, I will fix the oil leak. I will miss the aroma of that ol' Detroit Parfummeeee though.

I'm glad I dragged my hung-overed butt out of bed this morning and joined, the turnout, road, scenery, and company were spectacular! Already looking forward to the next one. Sorry to the folks driving behind me, you'll probably need to clean the oil off your frunk haha. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Ahh hah! So that's why your eyes looked like two BB's in a bucket full of shit. What a great run that is. Enjoyed meeting some new people today and seeing friends, as well. Some beautiful cars and girls ( I like girls (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) ) today. Elliott was seen fogging for mosquitos several times today. Oh, I guess you heard. Enrique didn't make it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) Again. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)
