1970 Porsche 914-6 VIN #9140431119 For Sale $22,000 After 7 years of owning this car it's time for it to go to a new owner that will care for it and enjoy it as much as I did. I found the car in Ohio and have done major performance upgrades. The car has had many top time of day Auto-X wins, and is fast and fun to drive. This car is all go, and not much show. Link to pictures when I got the car: Here. Note all pictures can be enlarged by clicking on the enlarge button. Link to current pictures: Link Performance Modifications already done when I got the car Side Shift transmission re-geared to match torque curve of car (A, GA, M, S, V?, and ZD?) Stock motor replaced with 1979 3.0 SC 911 motor E-Cams Modifications since I bought the car: Motor (200 HP, 200 foot/pounds torque at rear wheels) dyno sheet Weber IDS Carbs New Billet fuel rails New carburetor manifolds with air cleaners Carburetor float bowl modification (prevents fuel sloshing on heavy cornering) Upgraded carburetor linkage ends that pop on/off without removing nut Extra Ignition unit mounted in car (never needed, but there) Jet Hot Coated headers Jet Hot Coated Sport Muffler Pressure Fed Chain Tensioners Distributor overhauled Modified Stock Oil Cooler, Larger inlet Suspension 21mm Tubular Front Torsion Bars Turbo Tie Rod Kit with Bump Steer Kit Adjustable Sway bar in Front New Bilstein Struts Front 180 lb Springs in Rear Brakes 944 Turbo Brake Calipers in Front Stock 914-6 front Calipers relocated to Back (no parking brake function) S.S. Brake Lines 19 mm Master Cylinder 1 Set Fuchs with good Street Tires 1 Set Cookie Cutters, Powder Coated Black) with Race Tires (Purchased 10/2011) Brake Cooling Ducts Installed on Front Body New Steel Fuel Lines through Center Console Pedal Box Rebuilt New Clutch Cable New Accelerator Cable Removed and Cleaned Gas Tank Full Bolt-in Roll Cage (currently removed) 2 Corbou Forza Race Seats 5-point harnesses Fiberglass Bumpers Front and Back Flat Tow Setup with Tow Bar Added Tie Down Hooks on Rear Suspension for Trailer Tie Down Rear Suspension Pick Up Points Reinforced New CD player/radio New Speaker Pods with speakers Newer carpet Battery Kill Switch Car Cover Included Transmission New Heavy Duty Racing Clutch and Pressure Plate New Shift Linkage Bushings Negative things about the Car The paint is rough. It was originally a Green car that was repainted Red. The paint has many chips from the track and can look good from 15' with a good wax job. The body is also rough. There were a couple structural places that were rusted that I had repaired when I bought the car. A section of the floor pan on the driver side was replaced, and a couple places on the lower frame were also repaired. See Pictures for details. The transmission syncros need to be replaced. The car can be driven as it is, but downshifting requires matching the rpm's to the transmission speed. Upshifting works great. I can be reached for any questions by email at brian(underscore)willess(at)cox(dot)net. Thanks for looking. |
