Snoopy was gimpy and sad all last night, then woke up today fine. What a relief!

And since we're doing the my-life-sucks-more-than-yours bit, I had heart surgery when I was 22... And drove to thunderhill the next day to pick up a friend with a trailer and no truck. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving-girl.gif)

'bout 2.5 years ago. I have two AV nodes, and every now and then, both would catch those electric signals that tell your heart to pump. So my heart would pump double time. About 160 beats a minute, give or take. (I have a high resting pulse as it is) I was like a hummingbird. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

6 hours to say that the test results are inconclusive. Maybe appendix, maybe woman’s problems, has to get worse before they’ll know. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

The doc did test her, WBC borderline high but normal, ultrasound inconclusive, CT scan with dye inconclusive. (it’s hard to get time on the CT scanner, so the doc did pull some strings)

Gave her toradal (sp?) and sent her home. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

Week ? How about the last 7 months ? It sucks "just" making ends meet. I keep telling myself that it has to get better. Not sure how it could get any worse (I dont have anyone trying to sue me..LOL..yet) I have NO time to run/manage/grow this *thing*. I feel like I have given up a small child that is quickly growing into adulthood overnight. I'm losing admins because some of the club member are total assholes (it is hard to ask VOLUNTEERS to put up with other peoples SHIT) My debt to income ratio is not favorable right now (left over debt from the "failed purchase").

My marriage will be over soon and I get to find a place to live towards the end of the year.

Jet Ski mechanic in Cancun is looking pretty good again (Rennlist people will know what I'm talking about..LOL)

I still answer the phone with a smile (most people unless it is Britain)

Life sucks right now. Plain and simple. Working on 30 year old cars is starting to wear on me.

Anyone want to take the 914club reigns and run with it ?? I'm very close to being done (ask the admins and they will tell you ... I'm out)

That driving force is worn out. I have no more energy for it. The club needs guidance and I cant give it right now. We need to implement 2-3 different pieces and there is no one to pull the trigger. My view of succes for the club site is blurred right now. It was clear a year or so ago.

Thanks for the kind words Aaron. The *people* have kept me going. The payoff however is not really there anymore (I dont mean money). The actual satisfaction of 914 related activities is waning.

Brad, man this sounds scary... If you need anything I'll help you however I can.

When the fun is gone, no doubt- quit and get a "real job" thats what I promise myself that I will do if it ever happens to me. At the rate I am going (9 hours of sleep this entire week, and I'm not even tired) I will have to slow down after the next and final growth of my business.

One more year of 18 hour days and thats it for me, then things slow way down and the prices go up drastically and I go back to a one man shop, and a slightly different approach.

Brad, call me-please.. I'll be up till 0400 working on my damn website. Hell come work for me, no cars in my shop- all you need is a torque wrench, and a set of mikes.

I can help find you a new job, Brad. Steady paycheck, exciting travel, guaranteed 3 meals a day, and somewhere to sleep (usually). (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

P.S. If I didn't have a son, my dream job would be to work as a divemaster at a resort somewhere. Maybe even buy my own boat someday. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/scuba.gif)

The wife went to bed crying with the pain, even though she took a 222 and an anti-inflamatory the doc gave her.
She doesn't want to go back to the hospital just to be told that it's "woman problems".
I've only seen her cry a couple of times (i.e. childbirth) in my 18yrs with her.
She is no hypochondriac.

Brad, although I don't even know >1% of what happened at the "failed purchase", I can just imagine (BTDT many moons ago) that the whole issue totally blows. Financial hardship can be a real strain on any relationship, even the best.

Fixing these old cars is a PITA. This thread started (partly) over a 3 to 4 day laugher that turned into a three-week nightmare. A nice piece of coin turned into a total fucking loser and now I have other customers who are pissed off, because all of their jobs are now late. Also not to mention dealing with some of the total cheap ass, freebee expecting, customers that just piss you right off.

For example take electrical problems...I won't even touch them anymore. How do you charge for chasing an electrical gremlin for 2 days and in the end you still haven't found the problem? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

P.S. I'd be an admin Brad...as long as I can have the spring, summer, fall and most of the winter off. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

12 hours a day for the next month straight. Ain't assembly line work great. Oh well it will be over for 9 months when school starts.

Brad, keep your head up man, it will get better. You have the attitude that will get you something good soon.

Brad you need to come to work for me.... then you could fix my 914 in your spare time. Do you know anything about the forging business (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif). Not sure you could hack the weather here, but our COL is a hell of a lot better (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Ya know people always say things happen for a reason, I know it is an over-used phrase. I truely believe it.

I recently almost lost everthing "good" in my life. My wife to illness (she's fine now), my business and financial life was in the crapper as well as it seemed a million other things at one time. Just as it seemed at the worst a few fortunate things happened and viola things are better.... not all the way but it's coming around. Another trite comment is you never appreciate what you have until it's gone.

So again how **really** bad was this week. I'll bet in the grand scheme of things it really wasn't all that.

Cheer up guys, there will be better days (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mueba.gif)
