KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A Kansas City carjacking suspect was behind bars Monday because he couldn't drive a stick shift.

Police said the man allegedly pointed a gun at two women in the drive-through at the Subway on Linwood and Main.

He allegedly stole their car and took off.

When officers flagged down an officer, he noticed the driver didn't make much progress down the road.

Vincent Shelby, 21, allegedly admitted he couldn't drive a stick, police said.

He was charged with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.

Torn everything down but the heads, doesn't look too bad so far. I've got half the parts, the rest (except cam, etc.) are on order this week.

Well the wifey came home with two 11 week old Daschunds....add this to two Yellow labs named Dumb and Dumber, three kids, 10, 10, and 8.....three cats and 3/4 of the way thru a second story addition .....master bedroom and bath.....

The good part....EVENTUALLY, after I stop bleeding money, I will be able to sit on the john and read Excellence without a knock on the door and hear someone saying....DADDY...I gotta go.......

Life really has sucked lately...started at the beginning of spring and has lasted the whole friggin year.

Mostly work related....I work for someone I can't seem to relate to and also I've been traveling internationally SEVEN times over the last 8 months....

I'm pooped....

Then I miss a shift a blow up my engine....

No time to work on the car or go on vacation...oh that's right...I had my vacation scheduled for August since January.....my boss comes up to me 2 weeks ago and says I need to be in Taiwan for an "important" meeting....cancel my plans if I want to stay employed...

hey thanks. im doing a lot better. my face is still unrecognizeable. oh well. my coworkers (im a lifegaurd) stopped by to make fun of me and chill with me. that brightened up my day, losing lots of weight

hehe...going on one year....be patient...jesus 7 days....what a joke if you really want to enjoy the car and reap the benefits it takes a little time....spend 2-3 months and take your time going through everything....


as for my week....shit as usual....yesterday....5 am cleanup in the barracks .....630 Physical training....830 workcall....day ends around 5-7 pm usually....but these last two days were shittier than usual....had a night live fire exercise that I didnt get back from until 1 am....then 3.5 hours later I had weapons draw for the next days range that I just got back from 15 minutes ago....I am tired...zeroed my rifle...qualified....and baked in the sun for 9 hours watching people FUCK UP...im tired....

Business is great! HP is abundant, Testing is driving me insane....... And Excellence just left with a few hundred pics of bad ass Type 4 goodies....

Life really can't be any better... I just need some sleep.

Man, I need to quit complaining. I'm feeling pretty good after reading some of these posts. Except Jake's. His life is to strive for.

I landed in Bombay India yesterday. Taxiing the airplane around to our parking spot I could see how some of the people live around the airport. The poverty and bad living conditions are staggering. Everytime I see something like that it puts things into perspective for me and I figure that my life ain't so bad after all. No matter how bad things might seem there is always someone who is worse off. Any problems I have, pale in comparison to what other folks put up with. I don't mean to lecture here but keep yer head up, keep going and never quit! Damn I'm just getting old I guess.

shitty... came home today to a dog with a swollen front paw. Brian and he went for the usual walk, and halfway thru, he started limping and yelping in pain. Now he's babying the paw, and lethargic. It's still swollen. Called emergency, and they said if that's all, just wait to see his vet tomorrow. Until then, I'm just sitting here feeling really helpless, and like a bad parent. Poor little guy.

She drove herself to the hospital, I'm stuck here with 4 kids, 5,4,3 and 1yrs old. Two are her brothers kids.

It's been almost 4 hours now and still no call

hope she is ok. if it helps, my brother just had his appendix removed 3 weeks ago. it wasn't too big of a deal and he recovered within the week.

'bout 2.5 years ago. I have two AV nodes, and every now and then, both would catch those electric signals that tell your heart to pump. So my heart would pump double time. About 160 beats a minute, give or take. (I have a high resting pulse as it is) I was like a hummingbird.

6 hours to say that the test results are inconclusive. Maybe appendix, maybe woman’s problems, has to get worse before they’ll know.

The doc did test her, WBC borderline high but normal, ultrasound inconclusive, CT scan with dye inconclusive. (it’s hard to get time on the CT scanner, so the doc did pull some strings)

Gave her toradal (sp?) and sent her home.

Oh... and at least she is not pregnant.

Week ? How about the last 7 months ? It sucks "just" making ends meet. I keep telling myself that it has to get better. Not sure how it could get any worse (I dont have anyone trying to sue me..LOL..yet) I have NO time to run/manage/grow this *thing*. I feel like I have given up a small child that is quickly growing into adulthood overnight. I'm losing admins because some of the club member are total assholes (it is hard to ask VOLUNTEERS to put up with other peoples SHIT) My debt to income ratio is not favorable right now (left over debt from the "failed purchase").

My marriage will be over soon and I get to find a place to live towards the end of the year.

I still answer the phone with a smile (most people unless it is Britain)

Life sucks right now. Plain and simple. Working on 30 year old cars is starting to wear on me.
