At the last G n R Event I asked Dave (aka Silver74insocal) why he wasn't driving his car. He said he needed to yadi yadi yadi yadi yadi; to which I responded "Damn Dave. What is it going to take to get you off your ass? Do I need to post something and ridicule you? To my surprise he said yes or possibly a flogging would work. To that end; (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) Dave, get off your ass and get to work on your car. It ain't going to fix itself. That being said I thought to myself I'll bet there a several people here that would like to post their names here for public motivational intoxication. Or, perhaps you know of someone who needs that little push in order to get the ball rolling again. Well this is the place and I'm confident that these people will thank you for your concern and support, albeit in this form. Nothing below the belt and let's keep it constructive. Oh, one other thing. If you call someone out you must be willing to assist this person in their quest in some fashion or another. If you have any words for Dave or have a special someone that you know would appreciate your intervention on their behalf, then post away.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/slap.gif) You should be ashamed of yourself, Rich. Oh, wait a minute! I guess you are and hence this post. Could you use some prodding? We can provide additional ridicule if required. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) At my age it helps when I remind myself that time "is not" on my side and that every day I put it off is a day I could have enjoyed driving it. But then again, with a running 911 your motivation might be lacking. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) So question, if my car runs and drives, and everything 'works', am I slacker if I just keep driving it? I have a crack free dash to put in, an nice center console, the door card kits from 914Rubber, I need to look at the longs, I need to drop the engine to clean detail the engine bay, refresh the motor, and take the trans to the good Dr., etc. etc...but I'm driving it every chance I can, enjoy it, and don't want to take it apart and risk it being out of commission for an extended period of time. I am a slacker, aren't I? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) Maybe when something breaks, I'll take it all apart..... That was hilarious to read, I had to scroll up because I didn't remember posting it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) my exact scenario down to the dash in the box (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) |
