Well I got one right. The other one gets removed when I edit to add a corrected one.

Well there it is, rotate the phone 90° counter clockwise and the picture posts correctly.

Hey Mark, I don't get much of a chance to ride the RZ. It only has 922 miles on it.
Just about finished with the rough sanding on the front wing.

I was so bored Saturday that I actually drove my 914 in between rain storms. The little beast LOVES the cool air, and it was dripping water a bit when I put it away, but I had to get my fix.

Assembled my steering column today with the 914 rubber clam shells and the switches I got from Mark Epstein.

For some reason the right stalk is very very close to the steering wheel.. No idea why. Attached Image

Mounted the end caps, overlapping each layer about 6" on the nose. Got 5 layer's to go, hopping that is enough for the cones. Oh, I forgot, more sanding.

I think I'm done. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Actually, it's more like starting over. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

9 months ago Elvira went in for a motor rebuild. After that, the 'while I'm in there . . .' phenomenon took over. It started with a restored speedometer. Then new battery, tires, brake rotors and pads. Replaced throttle, clutch and speedo cables. Cleaned, tightened or lubed everything I could get my hands on, etc. Not to mention removing the rear wing and replacing the front air dam. Pretty much anything I could find to do that needed love or money.

For the final step, I hired someone to detail the car. Wow. She has never looked or ran so excellent.

In honor of the occasion, I stumbled across this hoodie on eBay. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Have to admit I've kind of neglected the 914's lately but will take the red '73 to C&C this weekend...
Finishing restoration on a '72 911... always wanted a long hood to join the 914's! And it matchs my '71 nicely.Attached Image

Bought this car in June from a 914 world member in Florida and finally finished the import process in The Netherlands today. Approval was a piece of cake because the car matched the version that was sold in this country.

Yea. Sure you are. And if you believe that, I have some ocean front property in Montana to sell you.
