Had what may have been blockage in idle circuit of PMO’s. Cleaned out idle jets and the cards. Added two filters. Attached Image

Yes, all PMB.

I ditched the rock shields, cleaned things up a bit, re-installed the rotors and new calipers.

Then; bled, re-bled, drove, pumped the pedal, seated the pads, took the wheels back off, re-bled, and now I have a pretty decent pedal. I had a few issues.

It's amazing how friggin' heavy "A" calipers are.

Installed SSIs and Dansk sport muffler. Great sound, pops a little on the overrun (need larger idle jets) but definitely better through mid-range and top end compared to the previous awful 2.0-litre heat exchangers and Bursch muffler.

Met up with Zach for dinner on Tuesday to deliver some parts from Mepstein.

Then we swapped keys and went for a short drive. His car is quick!

Good to see both your cars back on the road.

New brakes? ... No

New motor? ... No

New carbs? ... No

New Exhaust? ... No

New Paint? ... No

Nothing that would be considered earth shattering, but forward progress nonetheless ...

I gots me some new late style engine isolator mounts with brackets for my 71's conversion. Got them on ebay for $30. ... cleaned them up and painted them yesterday (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Getting car ready for a 1500-mile round trip to Germany for Bad Camberg vintage VW meet, go see my friends in the VW archives at Wolfsburg, visit VW Classic museum at the old Karmann works in Osnabrück then to European Bug-In in Belgium and back home. Fingers crossed I don't need to break out the toolkit...

Nice, I'm driving down to Stuttgart in 10 days but I'm cheating and taking the reliable? VW Passat. Otherwise I dont know how to fit the wife and kids into the 914...

First oil change carried out today. A bit more sludge in the mesh filter than i was expecting. It's done about 1000 miles.

Someone somewhere mentioned a "How-to" video by PMB on how to adjust the parking brakes - but I can't find it here or on PMB's website. I have the Haynes Manual version, but would really like PMB's, for my new rear PMB calipers...

Anyone have a link?

TIA,

GN
