Installed new clips and bumpers to hold the top in the trunk. From 914Rubber. Now it’s no longer taking up precious garage space.

Bought a new 'SilverShield 3L' car cover for HOWARD - just in case we actually get some substantial rain this summer (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

We got little early morning schprinkle a week ago, and the old cover wasn't the car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) ... luckily it was of short duration

Weird year, we got rain too. This time of year we expect to see more spontaneous combustion.

Didn't do anything- we had a good old monsoon today in the greater PHX area with lots of flooding... roads near us better suited to my F150 than any sports car!!!

Both grandkids wanted to ride in the 914 so I took them each for a 20+ min ride on the backroads - some I had not yet driven (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Put rubber bushings in sway bar drop links. Dropped them in boiling water, pulled one at a time with lots of grunting and the help of a screwdriver got them in.

Is one of them bent?

I would need a bridge to get my out of the garage. I was hoping to have a new driveway poured this week between the garage and alley, right now all I have is a mud puddle.

It seems like the more work I do on the garage the more it rains. It already flooded once. If I was to replace the roof the we might see the Salt River overflow its banks.

My 4 year old Grandson loves riding in a 914- he was not happy when Opa moved the car from IA to AZ, but now he gets to ride in it (and others) when he visits.
He inherited the car gene as it is rather dominant in our family... and hopefully when he gets to driving age he'll still be able to get gas for it...

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Finally got it out after (2) years in storage.
I washed it & put a battery in, fresh gas and it fired right up. I now need to get my license plates & insurance so I can go cruising. We had a local Concourse car show today & I didn't attend. My concern what if something happened without plates & insurance. Stuff happens (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) with over 200 cars & huge crowds problems happen. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Tom, I am in love with my 914 again (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

Went for a spin around the neighborhood twisties, had re-lubed the shift bushing at the firewall after using a 'dry lubricant' a couple months back that made me literally think I had transmission problems it was so gummy, smooth as butter again!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

WONDERFUL! Good news - you'll never put it away again! Your 914 is BEAUTIFUL!

BTW, not to be picky, but the word is "Concours", not "Concourse". As it is French, the s on the end is silent, it's pronounced Concour.

And it has nothing to do with a concourse. It means "competition".

So many in the car community do not know this.

Please forgive me for being so picky - but I'm one of those anal retentive/engineer types.
