This will go from the firewall, over the u-joint and seal to the shift rod. I used the lower half of the stock one and ultra-blacked the two together on the inside. I’ll use black silicon on the outside for cosmetics.

Installed new bushings on the a-arms. Thanks to @iankarr for the install video. Thanks to @mikey914 from whom I bought the bushings and install tool. It took more time to get my nerve up to start than it did to get all 4 done. By the last one I finished with minutes to spare!

I moved the big six off the lift yesterday so I could put our SUV on there for a transmission replacement.

The transfer case is out, and today I get to pull the transmission. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif)

Frankly, I would rather be working on a Teener.

Did the car on the lift shuffle today. Sons 944 came off and was awakened from winter slumber. 914 is on the lift. Gotta finish body work over the next week and respray driver side. Then EFI setup with the computer. Getting close

Did not have much time, but installed a-arms. Prepped for install of struts/knuckles and all the related bits.

Since it has been raiing here for the last six months , I had plenty of time to surf on the forum and I found a way to get rid of the smog pump lines. The smog pump itself was already removed by the PO. So I took out everything and closed the holes with copper plumbing end caps and a little bit of teflon. It works perfectly.

Yes, the housings were bought separately and were $426.52 each… not cheap but are very nice and have the original type body rubber. The lenses were $175.

Isn't that a pretty shot? did you use the Back to Nature paint remover, and very little if any rust topside. How are the undersides? What mill are you planning?

Thanks. I am using citristrip https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LF8T6P...=UTF8&psc=1

Very little rust, underside is really good, but there were some dubious repairs that will get addressed. Not sure about the paint yet…

Yes, bought directly from Porsche via Sunset Porsche in Oregon. The part numbers were different on order but both boxes have the same number but one is marked “left”. These are the US buckets with no diffuser.
