Thanks, Mike. Hope you're mending well?

We only got the final portion of the kitchen done today ... we watched the 'eggnogeration' and too much other crap on TV, then started back on the floor in the late afternoon (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Tomorrow, we attack the pantry - got a lot of special cutting to do in there (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif)

I thought about 914s all day long (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

Mending better for sure, thanks! I had another operation a week ago on the foot so no long periods standing and working on the car for me just a little longer. Good progress though considering - I'll post again when there's something significant... like a kitchen floor! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)

So far today I made up some plates to support the trunk struts. I've touched up a couple of chips with primer. The front wiring loom is neatly taped up and looks good.

Next o.n the list is to build the passenger door, fit the sun visors and remove the tape that I stupidly left on the inner trim when I primed the windscreen apperture and subsequently fitted the screen.

I've tried both but prefer the coco mats. Have a set on our 73 914 and another for the 79 928.

Btw. The folks at coco... are amazing!

Cheers

Tried to guess the dash wiring order, gave up due to lack of patience.

I did manage to locate what i have of the engine bay loom and fit the heat/sound barrier pad.

I also managed to figure out the rear lights wiring and wired up the left side light.

I also mopped & polished the passenger door and rear panel. Nearly forgot i also fitted the gas struts to the trunk.

More tomorrow.......

I shipped out another engine bay access hatch kit of parts and installation instructions/tips.

I also built and tested a few Carbon Fiber versions to compare / quite strong and sexy to a degree...

I made a start with the interior electrics today. In it for the long haul.

I got around to removing the fuel lines from the tunnel. Despite the car not being registered for 21 years and the tank was bone dry there was stale fuel in the lines and it stank!

Took the dashboard down to the shed to spray into primer as it's been bare metal for too long now.

Waiting for supplies and knowledge to carry on.

I rented a trailer to go pick up my 6 from the engine builder in the bowels of Los Angles tomorrow first thing. It is a 2 hour drive in traffic each way and it is a really hairy trip any time of day but especially at night.

I also went to the local ammo shop to buy a bag of wads for to energize the MEC 5 stage loader to crank out enough 12Ga ammo to make it back to Orange County after I pick up the motor...... I figure about 5 boxes of shells should do it.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ar15.gif)

Make sure you have no trump stickers on your car. Otherwise you will need more ammo. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Humm... IF I didn't know better I'd say that almost sounds like a political post. Did you make a mistake and think you were on f_c_book?

Wasn't today, but I spent the weekend flogging the crap out of mine up at Chuckwalla Raceway! Fist time having the car on the track with the new motor mods, suspension mods, and sticky tires. Got signed off for my solo permit for PCA TT and track events. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
