Changed the transmission fluid and installed a new battery. Old one was fine but was the wrong size.

Wow, that was hard to get through. Try posting in the late morning!

Installed hose, need to go get more 1" pipe straps.

Also spun my latest CL score for trueness. Great 22" wheel if you need your 914 to literally ride on rails (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif)

I was curious. Didn't fit with the stock Cayenne tire. Too heavy to be good 914 wheels but that's not why I paid very little for them.

Jim, Timothy installs side-emitting LED strips in a circular fashion inside the housings. Here's the thread on them: Click Here

Filled up the '73 and luckily it started fine at the gas station, though I did point downhill just in case...
Have to add the "Ford" "relay" fix as I'm getting some starting issues even with the hi-torque starter. (see separate thread if you care)

Organized the major assemblies to make them easier to work on individually. They were kinda scattered around as I received them when I was down, making it hard to make any headway. I'm going to use some reinforcement down the center with these lightened pieces and I'm almost ready to install the floors. After the subassemblies are finished and the welding is done, I can assemble the parts and semi complete a roller, bring in the SVX and tear that apart.... at least that's the plan.

Had a couple of the neighbor 'kids' help to push the '71 914 down the driveway so I could get the Ghia out, then pushed the '71 back up the driveway. The Ghia just needs a few minor issues to make it road-worthy again, but it will need some time on the lift to remedy the issues (sticking E-brake and shift rod bushing(s) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) ?

Will change the oil and check the valve adjustment while it's up there (after I finish up the 'BB's clutch project, which will re-commence some time this coming week). I actually want to finish up a few small items on 'Eilean' too - I want to throw the For Sale signs on it as soon as possible ... I think this is the best time of the year to offer up a well-sorted Westfalia (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Got to know the 74 better. Put in SS fuel lines and getting ready to carpet. Fun seeing the original speakers and a back pad without a ratty bottom edge.

Attached fuel hoses to the engine less backwards and got more appropriate results.

Can't believe the Walbro 192 got louder with fuel running thru it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Gave it 3 gallons of Gatorade for the upcoming workout.

Cleaned my old Cibies and installed with new super white bulbs.

Tomorrow putting spark plugs back in and hoping for some pleasant sounds. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

I decided to spiff up the interior, and put it back together. It had been torn up a bit from working on the car and the firewall welding......

Nice sir Lawrence! you're back on track!

Are your seats aftermarket or did you build up your existing seat bolsters as part of a reupholster on the interior?
