Drove it for the first time in a few weeks. Started right up and ran great. Seems to like the colder weather (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/white914.jpg)

Cleaned my engine case some today, not perfect but getting there. A little more time on it and it will be ready for assembly. This was done by wet soda blasting the case and heads using pressure washer with attachment. I really need to build a box for doing this as it is a little on the messy side.

Did a little detailing on the block removing extra flashing from the casting process and softened some of the corners.

Discovered a massive oil leak coming from above the sandwich adapter for my external oil cooler. Don't know why the leak occurred but I'll have "house pests" (house guests) this weekend so it'll have to wait. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Drivers take 4

Better shot of the front since the snow is gone. Should have taken a pic with the lights lit since they do look cool, phat, sick and very ill.

After this, I will be adding front GT valence for the non flailed. But have to get it painted first.

Installing a Garmin under the switches. It has a speedo, now I need to do a power point.

I like it...
That reminds me - I bought one of those fancy-schmancy (& expensive) Speedhut GPS speedometers for the 'BB' a couple years ago. One of these days I should look for it and install it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Mueller - That case is looking good. I see blasting material nailed you pretty good. It's a dirty job, but hey it's got to be done. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

RickS - Those look good. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

Been driving it for the past 2 weeks, trying to burn out that nasty, nasty old gas. Still farts and pops but it is getting better. I had some boom mat in the garage and put in on the roof last night, so much nicer than feeling like someone put a metal bucket over your head and beat it with a stick. Roof is a little heavier now LOL. I have a spare if I feel I need to be superlight speed racer

Oooh, last month I scored a core engine that turns. a 930/09 1980 3.0 ROW engine. Not sure what I am going to do with this, I still have the carbed 2.7 to put in. Project for some future day I guess.

Today I pulled down parts for my V8 car that where packed from my move 3 years ago. Lots of great stuff that I had not seen for some time. The covers for the rear trunk and cover for raised area above the hydraulic clutch cylinder on my 930 4 speed Trans. Back to work on this baby.

I reset the valves on cylinders 1&2 after replacing a pushrod tube seal. Hopefully no more leaks especially from that freaking rocker cover!

Finally got around to stripping the master cylinder for inspection. No rust at all inside means i can buy a rebuild kit and not an expensive replacement. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I have the same problem! My garage looks like a UPS warehouse at Christmas time.

Drove my 914-6 from the storage unit to it's new home on my property, just got done with the barn doors. It's around 60 degrees here in Northern California today, took my son for a spirited drive on some back roads to get all oil nice and warm...been sitting for way too long.

15 x 8 feet, just big enough for the 914 but small enough that no building permit was required :-)
