Are these parts interchangeable? the 009 is from a 2.0, I think the 005 is from a 1.8, can the 005 be used on a 2.0?

no trigger points in factory AFC injection; if you need trigger points for DJet, you must look elsewhere...

I'm not a carb guy, but the 009 is also known as a boat anchor. I'll let the experts in the subject tell you why.

The 009 pictured is NOT the 009 typically talked about here that has such a bad rep.
The pictured 009 is from a 2.0L 914. The VW # 039 905 205 is a 2.0L 914 number, I don't know specific year. VW/Porsche numbers starting with 039 are typically from a 2.0 914, 1.7/1.8 numbers start with 021/022. Looks like the 2.0L distributor was hooked to the plus side of the coil, melting the points wire. Ground wire on the breaker plate is probably fried as well. Jim |

Ok, they aren't for carbs. I now see the end of the trigger points on both units.

Ok, they aren't for carbs. I now see the end of the trigger points on both units. If they both have the 3 pin connector for the trigger points either will work in a D-jet car but they won't have the same advance curve and the vacuum advance/retard units may be different as well. It may not run right with the 005 in it but it should run. Jim |
