We have had work done by this company in the past and I used to play indoor soccer with the owner. If you like I can hit him up about the badges.....

The round grill badge... classic style. Like the Porsche one a couple pages up. But... that's just me. Talk amongst yourselves.

Ok, Ok, if tastefully done, they look nice. But I still wouldn't want it scratching my grill - that Kylon Gloss-Black paint is almost $4 a can, man. Plus, most serious 914 tuners remove even the "PORSCHE" letters from their grill to improve cooling air entering surface area. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) My PO did that for me. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smash.gif)

I have a German rally badge mounted on my grill....used a thin piece of hard rubber as a backing and nylon washers with stainless bolts and nuts...no scratches.

I have a couple of spare "round-style with cogs" decklid badges, one with the Porsche (Stuttgart) emblem, and one with the classic German eagle design. Both badges are of excellent old-school quality, and both attach to the decklid grille via the usual studs and screw-on rubberized nuts. Both badges say MADE IN SPAIN (all caps) on the back.

I would like to send these decklid badges to any club members who have the time and energy to coordinate the manufacture of 914 Club badges, to serve as a template for measurements and etc. To guarantee good quality, I think we should use a well-known manufacturer who has made such badges for the PCA or a classic-car group.

The design should be something that most club members would be proud to display. We should keep it simple, without a lot of lettering to clutter it up, and without the word Porsche on it. We are known as the 914 Club (not 914world.com or whatever) and we've been known as the 914 Club since day one, so that's what it should say. Anything else is just pandering to the clueless.

Also, we should learn from the unfortunate experience of our club members who've used their own money to fund such things in the past. Ideally, sales of club badges should be through the 914 Club Store, with advance purchase by club members so the initial production run can be as optimal as possible.

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/agree.gif) with Roger....

The badges should be of top quality. Something that we can be proud of and not rust away faster than our cars.

My .02...........Eddy

Don't be a dick. That's three times now I got to use that phrase today.

I'm asking about those 914club badges SPECIFICALLY that two people managed to buy somewhere. I don't see any details about them other than Garold's posts about getting from ebay.

From who is the question. Seller ID, that sort of detail. Specifically for the 914club badge as pictured here and purchased from Garold and John.

Sheesh...

Waaaaaaaaaaaaa... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

It's from an old defunct or quazi-defunct club from the 60's. Guy no longer answer e-mails etc. Some badges are floating around.

No go back to bed! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/flipa.gif)
