If they look classy, then I'll be in for 1 or perhaps 2. I really like the look of that 912 badge - very sharp and solid looking.

What happened to that cool round design the Seanery did? That would look cool in a badge.

Wow. Everone should be ashamed. You left this conversation with THIS two years ago and haven't made a move since?!? I like the old badges, like on Gint's avatar. Is the demand still here for these?

I'm in if they get produced.

Our local PCA club had a nice badge produced recently. I can check with Tina and find out where she got them. Check my blod for front and back photos. They are sold them for $25 each.

I just went out to the garage and did a test fit.
The post are in the right place to line up perfectly with the mesh on a 914 engine deck lid.

In other badges I've seen they were just hex nuts welded to the back of the badge blank before it was plated.

John, how are the stud receptacles attached to the badge?

Securely. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/cool.gif)

I am not being my usual smart assed self. I don't know and I can't tell. The 2 little pieces appear to be a slightly different color and texture than the badge. There is no excess material around the joint, so I don't think they were welded / soldered. The area around the joint of both the badge and the studs is discolored.

There is not any name or makers mark anywhere on the badge. The small spot on the bottom of the back of the badge is a thin coating that is starting to flake away. The 2 screw studs are not the same length. The ends were crudely cut and the bolts will not come off the top. The little brace / backing bar is aluminum.

Sorry, I don't know what else I can tell you. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif)
