Is there some trick I'm missing about getting the parking brake handle off its support? Can't seem to find anything in Haynes or Hussey's book. Last time I tried this I ended up drilling out the retaining ring. However, don't want to screw this one up.

You have the bolt out so it should slide right off the pin but it's stuck because of all the rust. Spray it with lots of penetrating oil and let it soak in. Wiggle it up and down while using a large screw driver from behind to force it off.
