Cant believe i didnt see this before kent! This is where i belong!
Well lets see... I bought the car....(doubt if that counts) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i231.photobucket.com-12749-1346310085.1.jpg) And then after months of not realizing i was mechanically clueless, I sent if off to see brad... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i231.photobucket.com-12749-1346310085.2.jpg) All went well for a little over a year and then this happened(the picture of me on the flat bed is MIA) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i231.photobucket.com-12749-1346310086.3.jpg) And 4 months later one night coming home from my girls house the belt shredded and I didnt have enough juice to get home(again, MIA as it was on the same memory card)... And then coming down Ortega after the VW classic last June I managed to run over a large rock and blow the tire(no spare)! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i231.photobucket.com-12749-1346310086.4.jpg) Based off of my cars history something should go horribly wrong by about mid September! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) Anyways, (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_bump.gif) for thread revival and ammo to make fun of me next Dawn Patrol! Fuel pump stopped working at a friends house. I couldn't get under it there so we towed it to another friends house where I could use his lift.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif) Didn't you just get it? ... where are you shipping it to? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) I think that is a photo of the PO in the US loading the car to ship to Europe. I don't think they have many Dodge pickups in Austria (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) sorry for late reply (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) yupp - Scott is correct (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) No picture of my car on a flatbed or a trailer. A bit off topic but I'm surprised how many 914 people put their car on the trailer front first. I've towed a lot of cars on my trailer and find it is much more stable at speed with the engine weight forward. Even with a featherweight like a 914. |

My well-disguised LE loaded up and ready for a trip over the mountains to its new home in TN.

No picture of my car on a flatbed or a trailer. The drive train was out of my wife's car when we towed it to the shop, but I agree that the heaviest portion of the load should be in front of the trailer's axle(s). A bit off topic but I'm surprised how many 914 people put their car on the trailer front first. I've towed a lot of cars on my trailer and find it is much more stable at speed with the engine weight forward. Even with a featherweight like a 914. When I bought my 'Smithy' machine some 20 years ago, they could only fork it a short distance into my little 5x8 M/C trailer because the forklift couldn't go up the ramp. I had to drive about 50 miles from Newport Beach to my house at 45mph on the FWY, otherwise the trailer would start fishtailing (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bootyshake.gif) |

It was tough sending this one away since I had owned it for over 20 years (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
Unfortunately, it sat for many of those years. I kick myself daily for not taking the time to pull the steel rockers off this car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) Especially since my LE needs a set! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) |

Here is my car from last October. It had to be towed into to the inspection area for its inspection which I passed and finally got officially registered in Japan with my my 914 plates.
