That's a sweet motor. The Suby ECU's are very tunable in stock form. Lots of aftermarket parts and 2.5L really gives the car more low end grunt.

Someday I can afford to go that route.

That is going to be a Rocket!

Let me know if I can help with any Suby questions. Just wrapped up my conversion w/suby wiring harness. Small Car Performance is a good resource for tech questions too.

One of my main problems is that I must maintain all of the ODB2 stuff in order
to pass emission testing. All I can say so far is that there is a lot of bull shit stuff
that must stay connected up.

The Subaru EJ225 engine was installed the project came to a shrieking halt.
I found out I could not shift the transmission as the engine sat too low in the
frame. After a couple of weeks I dream up this shifting arrangement. I then build
it on the bench and installed it in the car. Found I made a couple of mistakes
but were easily corrected after it was installed. It shift like a dream and no play
in the linkage!!! Now I can work on the next problem the gas tank.
Here's what the prototype look like.

Here's it installed in the car.

Just looking at the thought that went into that linkage makes my brain hurt!

I need a beer.

Oh, great work! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

That shifter is the craziest thing I've ever seen. And I mean that as a compliment! Nice work!
